Hey there, Sally. I'm so glad you've stopped by
planDisney with your question.
I am such a fan of
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. I stay there a few times throughout the year with my family and we always rent a cabin for Christmas. It's so much fun.
I think that you'll be happy to know that there is a parking lot specifically for RVs and trailers to be parked during your stay, if you aren't using them, at Disney's Fort Wilderness & Campground. When you arrive, you'll go through the check-in process and then the Cast Member helping you can direct you to where this lot is. It's very close to the check-in area, you won't miss it. However, this area is quite far from the loops where the cabins are located. Hopefully, you've
rented a golf cart to get around during your stay. If not, you can reserve one by calling (407) 824-2742. Since you won't have a different vehicle to drive, I highly recommend one for you to get around the Fort.
Staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground actually gives you access to
complimentary transportation to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. From the campground, you can utilize the boats that will take you to Magic Kingdom Park and the buses which will take you to the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Water Parks and Disney Springs. However, if you would like to drive yourself, you can do this as well. As a Walt Disney World Resort Guest, you do receive complimentary standard
theme park parking. However, if you choose to drive your RV you would be considered oversized. Oversized parking runs about $30 each day. Being a resort Guest, you can expect to pay the upgraded price which should only be around $5 or $10 depending on the going rate at that time. If I were you, I would plan on using the complimentary transportation that is provided with your stay that way you don't have to bother with the RV. The oversized parking lots are quite a distance from the front entrance of each theme park. I think you'll find the complimentary transportation so convenient.
I hope this helps, Sally. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Happy camping!
Jackie H.
