Hi Hollie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so happy to hear you are planning a stay at
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort during your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I have stayed at The Cabins before and absolutely loved it. When you combine the excitement of the theme parks with the tranquility of the resort, it feels like two vacations in one!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort includes The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Transportation to and from the theme parks is shared by The Cabins and The Campsites. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is quite large so there is also an internal bus system to help you get from place to place. When you want to visit
EPCOT,
Disney's Hollywood Studios,
Disney's Animal Kingdom, or
Disney Springs, you will need to walk or take an internal bus to the Outpost Depot. From there you will take a
bus to your desired destination. The buses will occasionally stop at a Resort Hotel before continuing on to their destination. If you are planning to visit
Magic Kingdom Park, you will need to walk or take an internal bus to the Settlement Depot. From there you can walk to the marina and take a
boat to Magic Kingdom Park.
I have to recommend that you have at least one meal at
Trail's End Restaurant. You can't go wrong with any of their meals but my favorite is the Weekend Brunch. My family enjoys sleeping in a little later than usual and I love starting my day with a Pioneer Mimosa!
Hollie, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions before your visit.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
