We will be staying at the WDW Swan Reserve Resort. My question is - do you still get the benefit of making advanced dining reservations 60+ days for the length of your stay, vs. strictly 60 days. Also, can you use magic bands with this resort?

    Hello there Kirsten!

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I had the chance to stay at Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort a few months back and couldn't help but admire the beautiful Walt Disney World Swan Reserve while we enjoyed the shared Grotto Pool. As a guest of the Dolphin, Swan, or Swan Reserve resorts, you'll have access to a number of fantastic shared amenities, an incredible assortment of on-site dining options, and the added bonus of being in walking proximity to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. You're also just steps away from the fun at Disney's Boardwalk!

I'm happy to report that you'll also be able to book dining reservations for the length of your stay (up to 10 days) at 60 days out. In order to streamline the process be sure to link your resort reservation to your My Disney Experience App. You can do this by navigating to the three horizontal lines at the bottom right of your app, and scrolling down to "Link to Account." There, you'll be able to input your resort confirmation number using the "Type ID" option. Be sure to input/link the members of your travel party, as this will also give them access to Early Theme Park Entry in the parks as well as the ability to purchase individual lightning lanes at 7 a.m.

Although you'll certainly be able to link a MagicBand or MagicBand+ to your tickets in order to enter the parks each day as well as access Genie+ Lightning Lanes, you unfortunately, won't be able to open your resort room door or charge purchases back to your room. Luckily, this didn't prove to be a major inconvenience for me on my last visit, so I'm hoping you'll feel the same. If you're looking to enjoy more hands-free shopping consider purchasing a Disney Gift Card. These are usually available for purchase during the EPCOT festival season with a convenient stretchy bracelet attached. I used one during my last visit and it was an easy way to shop and enjoy the food kitchens without needing to take my wallet in and out every time. It looks like you'll be visiting during EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, one of my personal favorites, so be sure to keep that tip in mind.

Feel free to stop back and ask us any additional questions as you prepare for your visit. We'd be happy to help!

    Adventure is out there!
