We are staying at a WDW resort in July 2018. After booking, I saw that other resorts have basketball courts. Does anyone know if the basketball courts are available to anyone staying at a WDW resort, or just the guests of that specific resort? Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sara! The recreation options at the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are fabulous, ranging from arcades and  pools to lawn games and sports opportunities. Select Resorts such as Disney’s Animal Kingdom - Kidani Village or the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin offer various sizes of basketball courts for guests of those select Resorts to use.

Guests who wish to use these courts will need to provide a Resort ID showing they are indeed a guest of that Resort. Since you are not currently staying at a Resort that offers a basketball court, you may have to find other opportunities at your Resort Hotel to fill your Resort day with fun. Keep in mind that you can always call (407) 939-1936 to change your Resort reservation if you can’t quite make it back home without dribbling a ball across a court. I know my husband can’t go more than a few days without hitting the gym, so we try to make sure he has Fitness Center access when choosing a Resort.

I’d love to help you choose some recreation activities if you’d return and let me know where you plan to stay, or assist with other vacation plans. I want to make it as magical as possible for you! I’ll see ya' real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
