Hi Lisa!
The
holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are truly a magical time, filled with festive decorations, special treats, and a variety of exciting activities that make your stay even more memorable. From the iconic Cinderella Castle to the intricate garlands and wreaths adorning Main Street, U.S.A., every corner of the parks and resorts radiates holiday spirit.
Throughout the Theme Parks and Disney Resorts Collection hotels, you’ll find exclusive seasonal treats like gingerbread Mickey cookies, festive cupcakes, and delicious hot chocolate to keep you warm as you explore. Both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT offer unique holiday events, like the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT and special holiday parades and fireworks at Magic Kingdom. Don’t forget about the larger than life Gingerbread displays at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts.
Now, let’s talk about Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. As a Guest staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel (or select partner hotels), you can enjoy the benefit of
Early Theme Park Entry. This gives you the opportunity to enter the Theme Parks 30 minutes before they open to the general public, allowing you to experience some of the most popular attractions with fewer crowds. So for example, if Magic Kingdom Park was scheduled to open at 9:00am, you would be able to enter the park at 8:30am. Transportation from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel begins typically around 60 minutes prior to the park's opening time, so for an 8:30am entry time, you can expect transportation to begin around 7:30am.
Transportation schedules may change so be sure to check at your Resort hotel for the most up to date information. Once you’ve entered the Theme Park, follow the signs for Resort Guest check-in.
Whether you're admiring the massive Christmas trees or enjoying holiday-themed shows, the holidays at the Walt Disney World are sure to fill you with joy! Enjoy every magical moment!
