We will be staying at WDW in May of 2022 with our children and extended family. How do we plan for a special gathering of all of us (about 27 including kids) one night? Maybe a special dinner or a desert party? Thank you. Karen

    Welcome back to planDisney, Karen!

Thank you for stopping by with another question! Visiting with a large group means you will multiply the fun, magic, and memories!

Large groups end up splitting while touring the theme parks so I think it is a great idea to book a meal for everybody to enjoy together. Some of my favorite restaurants for large groups are ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Biergarten Restaurant at EPCOT, and The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park – I think these would be great options for your party. Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance online or via the My Disney Experience mobile app

If you can't find availability, try booking your meal during off-hours, like an early or late lunch. If you are visiting the parks, a late lunch will give your group the chance to rest and take a break from the heat. If you are making reservations online, try breaking your reservation into three smaller ones. Please note that even if you book one reservation, the restaurant may have to split you up into multiple tables. You are also welcome to call (407) 939-3463 for assistance with reservations.

planDisney tip: Invite your family to enjoy Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Splash Mountain, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror for epic attraction photos, and remember to purchase Memory Maker for unlimited downloads of all digital content captured by Disney PhotoPass service during your visit.

I hope this information is helpful, Karen! Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for future updates and announcements and come back to visit us if you have additional questions.

    Best magical wishes,
