Staying at wdw w/3 kids (4, 8, 14) and 7 adults, was going to get 3 rooms at a mod. resort, leaning toward POR. Is there a better way to go? None of us have ever been. I'm feeling a lil overwhelmed! any advice will help.

Rest easy, Jeni; Port Orleans Riverside is a great choice.  The grounds are gorgeously landscaped and the pool is a big hit with kids (especially the slide!).  So, too, will your family have plenty of recreational opportunities to choose from, including: watercraft rentals, surrey bike rentals, and even horse-drawn carriage rides.  Port Orleans Riverside also boasts a fishing hole where guests can rent equipment and try their luck at catching something from the stocked pond.  There is a table service restaurant on site as well as a food court.  One of my family's favorite things to do during a stay at Port Orleans Riverside, is stroll along the Sassagoula River down to Port Orleans French Quarter.  They have fresh beignets there that make a great treat.  Enjoy your stay!
