Hi we are staying in WDW over the 4th of July and I am getting stressed as to where a good place is to watch the fireworks. Almost everywhere is booked but I have managed to book the Grand Floridian Cafe is there somewhere onsite we can watch from their?

Hi Claire! Wow, congratulations on nabbing a dining reservation at the Grand Floridian Cafe for July 4th. I understand how hard it can be to get a reservation for holidays as I worked daily to get an Easter dinner this year.

There are several good spots to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the Grand Floridian resort. When you are finished with your meal that evening walk down to the marina area where you can catch the Magic Kingdom boats. This offers a great view of the park and the castle. There is also a porch that winds around Narcoossees restaurant where you might find a spot. Understand that all of these locations will be crowded with other guests having the same idea.

You are free to hop on the monorail to ride to either of the other two resorts to watch as well. Your best spot is the beach at the Polynesian but again many other guests will be wanting to do this that evening. My best suggestion comes with a price but if you can get one of the fireworks cruise boats that evening you will have an amazing view and experience. Check out the pontoon boats, the Pirates and Pals cruises, and also the new Ferrytale Fireworks cruise. If you are able to get one you can always cancel the dining and spend the money toward the cruise.
