We will be staying at WDW from 12/1-12/8-We have the free dining package-There are so many resturants to choose from and I have no idea where to start. Could you recommend some can't miss places-I have a DS8 and a DD5-They are not picky eaters. Thanks

    Cathy:

I love FREE dining!  There's nothing like eating whatever you want off the menu and not worrying about who's gonna pick up the check!  With so many places to choose from, here are a few thoughts for your children:

    • Chef Mickey's:  Who doesn't love Mickey and all the gang?!  Go for the latest breakfast seating so you can enjoy the Magic Kingdom for a few hours to build up your appetite for a good brunch or head there for an early dinner if you're going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
    • Ohana's:  Our kids not only enjoyed the limbo and coconut races, my sons especially savored our "cousin" carving meat right before their eyes!
    • Teppan Edo: The chefs at the hibachi grill entertain diners of all ages as they chop, slice, and dice!
    • Coral Reef:  Our family couldn't keep our eyes off the aquarium that runs the entire length of the dining room!!  (And the desserts were especially good!)
    • 1900 Park Fare or Akershus:  If princesses are a must, both of these restaurants offer great Character experiences.  You'll see Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Wicked Stepsisters at 1900 Park Fare and Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel and others at Akershus where you'll also get a free family photo.
    • Spirit of Aloha Show at the Polynesian:  Near the end of the week, you may feel like you're going to pop on the dining plan....consider doubling up two of your table credits and taking in a special dinner show!  Best of all, you won't have to pay gratuity.
Make sure you know when your 90-day-out mark is to make your reservations at 407-939-3463, and call first thing in the morning.  Some of these restaurants will book up fast!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
