Staying at WDW first week of feb. Which should AOA or CB? Our girls are 8 and 11. Looks like right now we can only get The little mermaid rooms and Already have CB standard room booked. Is it worth saving $300+ to stay at AOA? Thank you

    Hi Kristy,

Thank you for sending your question! This is a difficult decision, as the two Resort Hotels offer so many wonderful amenities. What will be important to you? Although you'd likely receive many different opinions, I would personally save the vacation dollars and stay at Disney's Art of Animation and here's why ...
    • Dedicated bus service. Bus routes are always subject to change, however currently AoA does not share a bus route with any other resort. This is also generally the case at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort but the internal bus route through the various villages make for a longer commute to the Parks.
    • Size of Resort. Your girls are just a bit older than my kids, however you'd be surprised how tired we all get at the end of a long day in Walt Disney World! Although Caribbean Beach offers a beautiful backdrop with many recreational activities, if you plan to spend most of your time in the Disney Parks, the walk around the Resort might become tiresome.
    • Theming. Again, this is only my opinion, however I think Disney outdid themselves with the theming at Art of Animation. The Big Blue Pool is the largest pool of all Walt Disney World Resorts. (there's even underwater speakers for added fun!) The counter service option, Landscape of Flavors, offers an expansive menu to suit all tastes.
There are many wonderful reasons to stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort too, Kristy, but the savings in my opinion would steer me towards AoA. The less time I can spend traveling to and from the Parks, the more time is spent enjoying Walt Disney World with my family.

I hope I provided you a unique perspective, Kristy, and please visit us again as your trip approaches. We're happy to help.
