Staying at WDW with a dining plan. How do I make reservations online using my dining plan? When I use the online reservations, it's as if I'm booking meal reservations with no meal plan and no hotel reservations and it wants my credit card.

    Hi Lindie,

There are certain restaurants where providing a credit card is necessary to book a reservation, even for guests on the dining plan.  Reservations to restaurants such as Cinderella's Royal Table are really popular and often difficult to get.  I think having guests provide a credit card is a way to guarantee that guests will show up for their reservation.  The credit card is only charged if you fail to show up and don't cancel your reservation in advance.

When you arrive at a restaurant, simply tell the server that you are participating in the dining plan.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
