We r staying at WDW and cannot get a reservation for Chef Mickey's at the Contemparary Resort. We r starting a tradition for our granddaughter that we did with her mother years ago. Is there any way we can get to do this on her 1st WDW visit?

Mariah, introducing the third generation of your family to eating Mickey waffles with Mickey while the monorail whizzes overhead seems like a wonderful tradition.

At Walt Disney World almost anything is possible. If you are visiting during a popular time of year, reservations can be difficult to nab at this character dining spot. My recommendation is to keep trying at least once a day since people do cancel. Even after you arrive at WDW continue to try to book a table since guests often cancel only a day or two in advance to avoid no show fees. As a last resort, show up at the podium and ask if there is room for you. Once my family was able to obtain a table at Chef Mickey's this way but the wait was quite long.

Spreading pixie dust your way in the hope that you and your granddaughter get to continue the family tradition of napkin waving and singing with the Disney Fab Five at Chef Mickey's!
