Hi. We’re staying at Walt Disney World for two weeks next June and have the quick service dining plan. I’m just wondering how much it would cost to upgrade to the dining plan that includes a table service meal? We are a party of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids.

Hi there, Helen, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you're here today with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Your family must be so excited for your visit!

Helen, a dining plan is priced per night, per person, and is priced differently for adults and children. The current pricing for the 2025 Disney Dining Plan is $97.70USD per adult per night and $30.78USD per child ages three to nine per night. To upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan, you'll simply owe the difference between what you initially paid and the amount of the Disney Dining Plan.

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of dining plans at Walt Disney World Resort, and I think it's wise to upgrade. When you're traveling with little ones, it's tempting to plan to eat at only quick-service restaurants knowing that you don't have to make a reservation in advance. While quick-service restaurants offer flexibility and convenience, there is a small element of standing in line and finding a table. I'm totally ok with doing this once or twice a day! My family, however, does much better when we have a set time each day to relax around a table full of delicious food at a table service restaurant. It allows us to recharge so that we can finish the day strong. It's so nice to know that we have an Advance Dining Reservation booked so that we can truly relax for a bit during a busy park day. Whether you need caffeine or a cocktail (or both!), a table service meal is the perfect time to sit back, enjoy the air conditioning, and relish the time with your family.

Helen, as you can tell, I love talking about dining at Walt Disney World Resort. If you'd like any recommendations on where to dine, where to find great snacks, which restaurants are good for kids, and which items should be on your "must try" list, I'm here for you! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you continue to make your plans.

    See you real soon!
