Hi Moms! We (6) will be staying at VWL in 2 bedrm. Any suggestions on room to req that isn't noisy but not far? I know roaring forks is in main lodge, how realistic is it to go in the AM for coffee in our mugs & then go back to room? How far to main po

Howdy Shannon! You're going to absolutely LOVE the Wilderness Lodge Villas for "roughing it" in style! Be sure to take your time perusing the Carolwood Pacific Room on the first floor of the Villas building for some amazing artifacts from Walt Disney's fascination with steam trains.

There is a nicely covered walkway that connects the Villas to the Wilderness Lodge lobby and so, it's very realistic to make the jaunt over to Roaring Fork in the morning for some java in your refillable mug. I would request a ground floor villa , near transportation for easy access to the main lodge next door.

Hidden Springs Pool, located at the Villas, is a quiet oasis in the middle of the forest and has a massive jacuzzi hot tub that I've frequently found to be near empty most evenings. Silver Creek Springs Pool is the main theme pool and is in very close proximity to Roaring Fork quick service restaurant so, you'll be able to access this area easily.

A great unofficial resource for Disney resort hotel property maps is: www.wdwinfo.com and then, select Resorts, On Property Resorts, Resort Maps for a listing that includes the Wilderness Lodge.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions my way in the days leading up to your Disney vacation!
