Hi Moms! We're staying at the Villas at the Grand Floridian in January. We have an early breakfast reservation (7:00) at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. Since the Monorail won't be running that early, what is the best way to get to the Contemporary?

Hi Lisa! Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There's nothing quite like the magical experience you're in store for at Chef Mickey's!

The resort line monorail does sometimes begin service starting at around 6:30 a.m. to accommodate guests with 7:00 a.m. breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey’s in the Contemporary. You'll want to double-check the availability when you check-in at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

With your very early morning reservation your other option would be to take a cab. It's just a short ride over to Disney's Contemporary Resort so the cost won't be too much, and you'll minimize your anxiety about missing your reservation. Getting a cab is super simple, just go to the Bell Services Desk and ask them to call one for you - be sure to give yourself some extra time. Better yet, keep your morning stress free...speak to Bell Services the night before and have them order your cab to arrive at 6:40 a.m. to give you plenty of time to arrive comfortably.

I hope that helps as you get ready for your magical and memorable trip to Walt Disney World Resort.
