We are staying in a villa at Jambo House. We are flying down & not renting a car. I'm bringing some basic breakfast items in my suitcase, but wondered if there is a way to get a few more groceries while at the resort? Best option taxi to a market?

Howdy Karen!  Thanks so much for your question!!

I’m so excited for you!!!  You will be at the Walt Disney World Resort in 2 short days!!!

You have a variety of options for your groceries.

Depending on what you need, you might be able to find it all at the Zawadi Marketplace at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Here you will find African art, jewelry, pins, apparel, groceries, sundries, stamps, wine and more.  We typically do as you are doing and pack dry goods with us.  Once we arrive at our resort, we purchase milk, bread, butter, juice, etc.

If you find that you need more than what you can purchase in the resort store, you can order direct from gardengrocer.com and they will deliver your items to your resort.  Another option would be to take a taxi to one of the local grocery stores.  There is a Publix on Vineyard Avenue. It’s a little over 8 miles away from your resort. There is also a Super Target on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway that is approximately 9 miles away. You should be able to find anything and everything you need to prepare your meals from either location.  Don’t forget your laundry detergent. If you are in a one bedroom Villa (or larger), you will have a full size washer and dryer in your Villa (which I LOVE)!

Please let me know if you have any further last minute questions prior to your vacation.  Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!!!!
