Hello, Marloes, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you found us, and it's my pleasure to help with your question so that your land and sea adventure is smooth sailing all the way. Let's dive right in and track down the information you're looking for!
Our family has been lucky enough to sail on
Disney Cruise Line several times, and I do love to combine our sailing with some time at another Disney destination either before or after the cruise. You are going to adore
Disney's Vero Beach Resort, Marloes--we had the opportunity to visit this seaside spot earlier this year, and it is so lovely. Guests enjoy direct access to Atlantic Beach, and of course, a highlight is the possibility of spotting some of the
sea turtles who make their home at Vero. Disney Conservation Team Wildlife is out and about during the day and has all sorts of amazing information about the turtles' nesting patterns.
As for extra luggage tags for your cruise, I learned that the Cast Members at Vero do not print these for Guests. But don't fret! The Cast Members at the cruise terminal in Fort Lauderdale will be happy to print additional tags for your party. I sailed out of this port almost a year ago for our planDisney training trip, and it's very easy to navigate. Just be sure to allow for plenty of time in case of traffic around the port!
One additional tip to make your sail-away day a breeze is to keep in mind that any checked luggage may not arrive at your stateroom until several hours after you board the ship. I always bring a backpack with me to carry any essentials I might need before I'm reunited with my bags, including sunscreen and sunglasses, a swimsuit, a reusable water bottle, and any valuables or medications.
Marloes, I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, and please stop by again anytime if we can assist with other questions.
SEA Ya Real Soon...
