Hi! . We are staying in the value movie resort and will have the standard meal plan. 2 adults-2boys5 &9. What would you suggest for our park itinerary? Don't want waterparks and will have all ready done downtown Disney. Boys love salad and steak...must

Thank you for your great questions, Heather, and I'm betting many guests are wondering the same!

You've indicated an arrival month of August, so you'll want to begin building an itinerary based on the operating hours of each Disney Park, typically released six months in advance. When building our family's itinerary, I heavily rely on touringplans.com to guide me in the best parks to visit and avoid each day, based on historical attendance. My "type A" self will create a spreadsheet indicating operating hours per day, along with which days offer Extra Magic Hours, exclusive to Disney Resort hotel guests. I will then have a running list of Dining locations I wish to reserve, and based on location, will fit them in like puzzle pieces to avoid trekking across Disney Property!

If you've purchased Park Hopper tickets, I suggest attending one Disney Park at rope drop, head back to your Resort hotel after lunch for a swim, and head back out to another Disney Park for dinner and evening entertainment.

With Base Tickets, be sure to book your dining locations at the "best park" for the day, as you will not be permitted to "hop" from one Disney Park to another on the same day.

I love answering questions about dining, and I know the perfect location for your little foodies! I'd highly recommend Le Cellier Steakhouse. The secret to utilizing the Dining Plan at Le Cellier is to book a late lunch, perhaps at 2:00 or 3:00. Doing so will only cost you 1 Table Service Credit per guest, as opposed to 2 Table Service Credits at dinner time.

I'd be happy to build you a specific itinerary based on your ticket package and other popular dining locations!

Hope to See Ya Real Soon!
