Hi Brittany,
Last summer, my family went to
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, and afterward we went to the beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort to watch
Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. This was one of my favorite nights at Walt Disney World.
Wishes Nighttime Spectacular shows at different times depending on the time of year. I suggest that you check the link above for the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, which will allow you to choose the date that you would like to go to see the time of the show. This is subject to change. Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show currently has two showings, at 5:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. My suggestion for you is to book the earlier show. The show runs about two hours long. Even if Wishes Nighttime Spectacular is at 10:00 p.m., you might miss some of the show as you make your way from Luau Cove the to the beach. We saw the early show. Then we had lots of time for the kids to play on the beach while the adults enjoyed a beverage from the Barefoot Pool Bar as we enjoyed the evening until Wishes Nighttime Spectacular began.
There will be Disney transportation available for you when Wishes Nighttime Spectacular is over. You have a couple of options. You could take the monorail from Disney's Polynesian Resort to Magic Kingdom, and then a bus to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. You could also take a bus from Disney's Polynesian Resort to Downtown Disney, and then a boat to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. While both of these options will work, they will take a while and require a transfer. I would consider taking a taxi from Disney's Polynesian Resort to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Although this will cost a little money, it will save you time.
