Hello! We are staying in a Treehouse Villa at Saratoga Springs this summer and I noticed the distance from the front desk to the villas. Is the long walk with kids and luggage inevitable…?

Welcome to planDisney Kate and thanks so much for stopping by with your question! A summertime stay at the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa sounds like a magical adventure in the making. With their peaceful, secluded setting nestled among the trees, they’re truly a one of a kind experience. I’d be happy to share some tips to help make arrival and getting around the resort a bit easier.

I stayed at the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs a few months ago with my friends, so I completely understand your concern. The villas are beautiful and peaceful, but yes, they are quite a walk from the main building where the front desk, lobby, and dining are located. However, the long walk with kids and luggage doesn't have to be inevitable.

When we arrived, we used Bell Services to handle our luggage. They transported it from the front desk directly to our villa, and that made a huge difference. If you're checking in online and your villa is ready before you arrive, you can even skip the front desk entirely and head straight to your villa. Once there, you can call Bell Services to bring your luggage over, which we found really convenient. Several members of our group also took advantage of the helpful Cast Members who offered complimentary golf cart transportation to the villa, along with assistance handling luggage

There’s also an internal shuttle that loops around the resort and includes a stop at the Treehouse Villas. It connects you to the main areas of Saratoga Springs, like the Carriage House and the main bus stops for the theme parks. We used that shuttle a few times when we didn’t feel like walking, especially in the heat.

The walk to the main building is around ten to fifteen minutes depending on your villa’s location. It’s a pretty walk, but with kids or groceries, it can feel a bit long. If you have younger kids, I’d definitely recommend bringing a stroller. A friend of mine recently stayed at the villa's with her family. They brought one along she said it made a big difference when they wanted to head over to the pool or dining area without taking the shuttle.

Kate, I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
