    Staying 7/20-7/24 but out of town on 7/22. Which parks are good to visit if you simply CAN'T be there at Rope Drop? 10 year old son hates long lines and is pretty good about choosing not to do something to avoid them.

    Hi Patti:

    All four major Disney World Theme Parks can get crowded depending on the day or circumstances, so it's hard to single out any particular Park as seemingly less or more crowded. My best piece of advice if you cannot get to a Park at rope drop is to avoid the particular Park that features a.m./morning Extra Magic Hours (extended park hours) that day.  Typically, one of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks opens to Resort Guests one hour early or remains open up to 3 hours after regular Park closing time. I always avoid the Park that has a.m. Extra Magic Hours if I cannot get there at rope drop as that Park tends to attract bigger morning crowds and fills up earlier.  In advance of your trip, you can use Disney World calendars to find out which Theme Parks feature Extra Magic Hours.
