Welcome to planDisney, Beth!
I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. Are you getting excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit yet? It might seem far away, but September is going to be here before you know it! If I had to choose my favorite Resort area around Walt Disney World, it would definitely be the EPCOT Resorts that surround Crescent Lake. Not only is it a beautiful setting with plenty of dining options and activities to enjoy, but there's nothing I love more than being able to walk to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios during my stay –– I hope you love it as much as I do!
I've got some great news –– the
Disney Skyliner stations for both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios are right outside the park entrance, so you won't need theme park admission or
Disney Park Pass reservations to hop on a gondola and take a ride. At EPCOT, you'll find the station right outside the International Gateway entrance and right in front of the main entrance at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Not only is the Disney Skyliner a convenient way to get from park to park, but it's also great for hopping between the Resorts on the Disney Skyliner line. In fact, on a recent visit, we planned a Resort-only day and after playing a round of mini-golf at
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, my kids were so smitten with the adorable gondolas that we ended up riding Disney Skyliner around for several hours, exploring all the Resorts. It made for a perfectly
un-planned afternoon and it ended up being one of our favorite memories of the trip.
Since you're bound to get hungry as you sail through the air, you may also want to consider dining at one of the Disney Skyliner Resort restaurants, like
Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort. The food at this restaurant is spectacular and the rooftop views can't be beat, especially when you pair it with a view of EPCOT's newest show,
Harmonious, from the terrace. However, this is a
very popular dining spot, so I definitely suggest making advance dining reservations if you plan to grab a table. As a Guest of the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel,
you'll be able to begin making your dining reservations for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 days) beginning 60 days from check-in, so be sure to mark that date on your calendar!
