We are staying at the Swan. My partner is disabled and needs a scooter. Any suggestions. Also, we need to know if the kneeling buses are around the Swam hotel.

Hey there Ernetsra and welcome to planDisney!

We're big scooter users in my family so we've rented directly from Walt Disney World several times for rolling around the Disney Parks. After my mom's most recent injuries, she requires a scooter to get around more than just the Parks. There are some great options for renting ECVs(Electric Conveyance Vehicles) around the Orlando area like Scooterbug and Buena Vista Scooter Rental. The latter delivered the ECV directly to our hotel and because we opted for a portable scooter, the delivery man demonstrated the quick and easy way to take it apart and put it back together in case we wanted to use rideshare for transportation.

When staying at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Friendship Boats are the favored mode of transportation and will take you to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The dock is located directly behind the hotel and is shared with the Walt Disney World Dolphin. The boats are definitely accessible by ECV so no worries there. There are also shuttle buses available for y'all to use to get to Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney Springs that will be accessible for your partner.

Pro tip: The bus to Magic Kingdom Park drops off at the Ticket and Transportation Center and not directly at the front gate. You'll then have to take either the Monorail or the Ferry in. Save a few steps by just catching the bus from Disney's Yacht Club Resort. It's directly next door and doesn't even take 5 minutes to get to their bus stop.

Ernetsra, the Walt Disney World Resort makes it super easy for everyone of every ability to experience the magic. Congratulations on your magical stay with your loved one.

    Happy planning!
