i am staying in the swan hotel in may, i was told you can take the ferry boat to epcot and hollywood studios. is that the best way to get there in the fastest amount of time? does the ferry wait till it is full before it will depart to the park?

    Hi Erika!

It is true that there are ferries that run between the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts and Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot parks.

The ferries don't wait until the boats are full before leaving, but they do follow a route, so this usually means multiple stops to each place.

Depending on how you catch the boat (meaning how long you have to wait before it gets there), you could probably walk to each park faster.  My boys and I love racing the ferries to the parks.  We generally walk to the parks because we are way too excited to get there to wait for the ferry.  But, we usually ride the ferry back from Hollywood Studios after a long and tiring day at the park.   We always walk to and from Epcot when we stay at one of the Epcot area resorts.

Here is a link with more information about transportation at the Swan and Dolphin.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
