I will be staying at the Swan and I've in the Fall. The room and tickets are already paid for. Will I be able to (1) charge purchases at Disney to my room with my MagicBand and (2) pay for those room charges with my Disney gift cards?

    Hi Jessica,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!

The Walt Disney World Swan is not only a beautiful hotel with some pretty terrific amenities, it’s also really well located because both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are within walking distance of its gates (or accessible by Disney Water Transportation.) It’s a great option for families looking for a more “conventional” hotel, but one with a Disney touch.

That said, because the Swan is not an official Disney Resorts Collection hotel, Guests who are staying there don’t have access to all of those amenities, including the ability to charge purchases to their Resort reservation via their MagicBand or Key to the World Card. My advice would be to keep those Disney Gift Cards handy and to use them for your purchases!

Tip: if your cards have a high balance and you’d rather not walk around with that much money during your Disney Day, don’t forget that you can buy an additional Disney Gift Card for “everyday” use and transfer funds from one gift card to another.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
