    We are going to be staying at the Swan in August 2013. Has anyone had success with shipping their luggage to the hotel vs. checking it on the plane? Any info on this would be appreciated. Thanks! (we are coming from Long Island, NY).

    Hi Karyn! I have had great luck in shipping boxes to the Disney resorts and would assume the same would go for the Swan and Dolphin resorts on property.  The important thing is to not ship too early so your luggage or boxes are having to be put in storage somewhere. This is when things can get "lost" and can cause great stress while trying to find them.  I guess and gauge the shipping time so things arrive about 2-3 days before our arrival. The other important thing is to have a correct address for your shipping location. This is how I address everything I ship to Disney.

    Arrival date
    Name of resort
    Address of resort
    City/State/Zip

    Contact your local shipping companies about the timing and service to this area in Florida. Sometimes it is best to go with paying a little more to get the kind of service with things that are as important as your vacation luggage.
