We are staying Sunday April 10th 2022 through Friday April 15th 2022 at Disney World but no parks are available to purchase tickets except Epcot. Can we cancel our trip? We planned on attending more than just Epcot, why are the other parks closed that week

    Hi Matt,

    Welcome to planDisney!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having a bit of trouble with your tickets. Let’s see if I can help!

The Theme Parks won’t be closed, it just might be that other guests have already selected their Disney Park Pass reservations so availability might be limited. At this time guests need both valid Theme Park tickets and Disney Park Pass reservations for each time they enter into the Theme Parks. I’d first suggest checking out the Theme Park Reservation Calendar one more time before cancelling. If you’re staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and a few select other hotels, you can choose the option for “Select Resort Hotels” to see reservations for your vacation in April. If you’re not staying on property, you’ll want to use the “Theme Park Tickets” selection.

Since April is a very busy time due to spring break and Easter, you’ll want to check out the calendar often to see if any reservations change! Cancellations happen, one day you might not be able to book anything, then the next day, you may be able to! Another way to work through this is purchasing or changing your tickets to Park Hoppers. You could start your days in EPCOT and walk around the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. Around 2:00 p.m., you could easily make your way to one of the other Theme Parks (subject to availability) and enjoy the rest of your evening! I’d also suggest adding a Resort day into your stay by taking some time to chill by the pool and enjoy the perks your hotel has to offer.

If Park Hopping isn’t an option, you can always cancel your reservation through the My Disney Experience mobile app by going to your hotel reservation and choosing “Cancel Room”. If you’ve already purchased your tickets, they are non-refundable and non-transferrable, but you might be able to change the dates of your tickets before midnight of your first day! Just select "Tickets and Passes" within the app and choose the tickets you'd like to change. Next, select "Change Ticket" and simply choose your new start date. If you need further assistance definitely reach out to the Existing Tickets help desk.

My hope is that you’re able to have your vacation, though it may look a little different! I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful in your decision. If you have any other planning or vacation questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
