We are staying at All Star Sports the week before Thanksgiving. Can I use instacart to have groceries delivered to the resort the day we arrive? We are not doing any park days our first day so we should be on the resort through the afternoon and evening.

    Welcome to planDisney, Nikki!

I’m so excited to hear that your family will be visiting Walt Disney World in just a few short weeks! We also have a November trip, so my family is starting to get excited, too. Actually, it’s me, I am the excited one, as my husband and I have managed to keep this visit a secret from our little ones. It’s a big visit too, we have plans for our little princess to enjoy her first visit to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

Like you, I am already thinking about what I want to include in our grocery delivery order. We usually add a case of water and a few snacks, and breakfast grab-and-go options for our family to choose from during our stay. Nothing sweet because we save our sweet treats for things that are Mickey-shaped, specifically beignets

Hakuna Matata, Nikki, you can have your groceries delivered to your resort. They will arrive at the resort's Bell Services location at the time you select for them to be delivered. A $6 fee will be charged to your room account for each grocery delivery order brought to your room by Bell Services or Luggage Assistance. (Fees are subject to change without notice). Please also keep in mind that if the service vendor requires age or ID verification, you will have to meet them to accept the delivery, as Bell Services will not be able to accept the order if an ID is needed. So plan accordingly.

I usually plan for my order to arrive an hour or two after we arrive. That way, it gives us time to arrive, find our room, and unpack a bit before throwing food in the mix. Plus, we usually arrive ready to eat, so heading down to the resort’s food court is our top priority the day we arrive. And according to my husband, his first meal has to be a Disney meal, not the snacks we ordered. He is a park goer for the snacks and food. I would even say he is a self-proclaimed Disney foodie. That is probably why we are always after Mickey-shaped treats. Plus, everything does, in fact, taste better when it is Mickey-shaped.

I hope this has helped answer your question, Nikki! I can't wait for you to arrive, and hopefully your countdown moves quickly! In the meantime, please let us know if any other questions come to mind as you prepare for this upcoming visit.

    See ya real soon,

    Shantel

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
