Priscilla! You are less than one week away from your magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! It’s great that you’re thinking about every detail, including how to best plan your arrival time at the Disney Parks!
Rope-dropping is something my family enjoys doing! We like to get a (very) early start to our day so that we can be among the first to arrive at the park! I recommend being at the park entrance about 45 – 60 minutes before early entry begins.
Magic Kingdom early entry is unique because (on most days) the turnstiles are opened well before early entry to allow Guests to enter the park. Guests can begin making their way to various entry points, such as Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. Here you will wait for Cast Members to officially" rope drop” and allow Guests to enter.
Guests with the amazing
Early Theme Park Entry benefit will be allowed to enter the theme park 30 minutes before other Guests! This perk will allow you extra time to experience attractions before the park opens to other Guests!
Priscilla, if you want to avoid the drive and the walk from the parking lot to the park, you might consider using
complimentary Disney transportation. As a Guest of
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, you will have complimentary bus transportation provided to all Disney Parks! Disney transportation officially begins running 45 minutes before park opening, but my experience has been that it begins running about 60 minutes (if not earlier) before park opening!
I always recommend that Guests sit back, relax, and let Disney do the driving!
Dreams do come true!
