Hi Denisha,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your
summer visit to Walt Disney World Resort is coming up very soon, and I’m so excited for you and your family to be splashing in your resort’s pool, cooling off with Mickey ice cream bars, and enjoying long, gorgeous summer evenings in the theme parks.
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is such a fun, colorful place to stay. I think you’ll love the larger-than-life sports icons (I’m more of a spectator, which is why I can’t get enough of the giant soda cup), bright colors, and ample space to run and explore. I encourage you to continue to check in with Walt Disney World Resort Reservations at (407) 939-1936, as a preferred room might come available before your visit. It never hurts to ask at check-in, either.
At Disney’s All-Star Sport Resort, requesting the Touchdown section, either building 7 or 10, will be closest of the Standard rooms to Stadium Hall, where the food court and transportation are located. From Touchdown, you will also be an easy walk to either the Surf's Up or Homerun Hotel pool areas. If you’ll be completing
Online Check-In, you should be able to choose “Near Transportation” as one of your room requests, and then your preferred view or floor as the other. I always request an upper floor for noise and view reasons, but our stroller days are behind us so we don’t have to worry about lugging anything other than ourselves up those stairs when we don’t feel like waiting for or navigating to an elevator. You’re also welcome to contact the Reservations Cast Members at the same number to add a request to your reservation; please remember that requests can’t be guaranteed, though the Cast Members really do want your trip to be a home run!
Have so much fun counting down the days to your summer vacation, Denisha!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
