We are staying in the All Star Sports Resort and I have a reservation at Chef Mickey's at 7:30am, how long does the monorail or bus take to get from point A to B?

    Hey there, Megan!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about transportation to Chef Mickey's. I wish I could spend every morning having breakfast with Mickey and his friends.

Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests with early morning reservations at Chef Mickey's should plan to board a Magic Kingdom Park-bound bus no later than one hour prior to your breakfast reservation time. That is a bit earlier than the normal time theme park buses start running. However, if you ask at the Guest Services desk at your home resort, they will direct you to the early morning breakfast bus. Be sure to inquire about the early morning bus one day before your breakfast reservation so that you know what time the bus will start picking up passengers at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort. You certainly don't want to miss breakfast with the world's most famous mouse!

Once your Disney bus arrives at Magic Kingdom Park, you can hop on the monorail for a three-minute ride to Disney's Contemporary Resort. (Chef Mickey's is on the fourth floor.) Or you can simply walk there. It's more direct.

If you'd like to save a little time, you could skip the Disney bus and monorail and arrange for an inexpensive private car service. Call the day before to arrange for the driver to pick you up at your home resort. They will be able to drop you right in front of Disney's Contemporary Resort. While this transportation option is not complimentary, it is very efficient. You could leave your home resort at 7 a.m. and arrive in plenty of time. Sometimes that extra half hour of sleep is worth it.

Whichever path you decide to take to Chef Mickey's, don't forget your camera and your autograph book. And please have some Mickey waffles and Minnie's muffins for me!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Jill
