Hi! We will be staying at the All Star Sports Resort in a few short days and have booked two early breakfasts one at the Polynesian and the other at Chef Mickey’s. What do you suggest for transportation?

    Hi, there!

Chad, I'm so excited to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few short days. You're sure to have a magical stay!

I'm also excited to hear you have such great breakfast reservations booked. Chef Mickey's is my family's absolute favorite Character Dining Experience! Early morning dining reservations are super great because you can be sure your family fills their bellies for a day of pixie-dusted adventures without missing those precious early hours in the theme parks when the wait times are low. Transportation can seem like an issue first thing in the morning, but you'll be pleased to know you have a few options!

Depending on the dates of your reservations, it's possible that complimentary bus transportation will be available bright and early from your Disney Resort hotel to Magic Kingdom Park. My best advice is to check with the Front Desk about the busing schedules on those days. If you can count on the bus to pick you up 45-60 minutes prior to your reservation, I suggest that option! Once you arrive at Magic Kingdom Park, you can take the monorail to both Resort hotels (if it's up and running at that time). You can also walk from the bus stop to Disney's Contemporary Resort or take a water taxi to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

I also recommend taking advantage of Disney's Minnie Van Service. Minnie Vans are certainly the cutest and most convenient way to get around the Walt Disney World Resort! This service operates as early as 6:30 AM and will get you to your breakfast reservations in no time. Simply open the Lyft app to request and pay for a ride! In my experience, I've never waited for a Minnie Van for more than a few minutes. My Minnie Van drivers have always been exceptionally courteous and knowledgeable, making for a delightful ride.

Another option is to use a rideshare service like Uber. Before Minnie Vans were available, my family would rely on rideshare services to get us to hard-to-get-to dining locations, like Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. This option is usually reliable and budget friendly!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Chad. We're wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
