Hi Tamara!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Dining at
Disney's Contemporary Resort is a great choice - if you have reservations at California Grill the views from the 15th floor of this Resort hotel over
Magic Kingdom Park and Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake are stunning! If you have a dining reservation at any of the Disney Resort hotels,
parking is complimentary, but typically only for around three hours. What I would do is park at the Magic Kingdom Parking Lot, take the parking tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center and board the monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort for your dinner - it is a lovely relaxing ride, stopping at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and then Magic Kingdom Park before going straight through the middle of Disney's Contemporary Resort. After dinner you have the choice of taking the monorail loop around again to Magic Kingdom Park, or taking a short stroll to the park entrance. At the end of your day at the park, the ferryboat will take you back to the Transportation and Ticket Center, or you could take the monorail again - it's just two stops. Your car is safely parked for the whole evening, and as you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, there is no charge for parking at the theme parks.
