We are staying at All Star Sports in October. I know there are small refrigerators in the rooms. Is there a freezer so that I can freeze items to take to parks for our grandson. Thanks

Hi Julie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is so great to hear from you again.

Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is a really fun place especially for little boys that love everything sports! My son loves to hang 10 at the Surfboard Bay pool. The End Zone Food Court is also a really great place to enjoy some food and there is a decent variety that has been able to please even my pickiest eater.

Each of the Resort hotel rooms do come with small dormitory sized refrigerators. Unfortunately however during my last visit I realized that they do not have a small freezer. We had to make the refrigerator work for us…we just couldn’t bring back extra Mickey Bars! If you do have a special need I would recommend talking to a Cast Member at the front desk to see if there are any accommodations that they could offer you. Otherwise what we do is take a small lunch bag and place our kids water bottles in it to keep them cool in that hot Florida sun! We also bring along Zip Lock bags and fill them with ice and then place those in the small lunch bag…it does seem to do the trick!

Before you head to the happiest place on earth be sure to check out our guide to Planning for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones. We hope that it offers you some great advice and you may even learn a few things that your grandson can participate in that you may not have known was even an option!

I hope that you make magical memories that will last both you and your grandson a lifetime!
