Staying at All Star Sports for 2 nights before Disney Cruise. What can I do outside the parks?

Hi Deborah! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Oh boy! Only one day until you arrive at Walt Disney World to relax before heading off on a Disney Cruise Line voyage! It's hard to beat a Land and Sea vacation, mostly because you get the best of both worlds! Let's dive right into some fun activities you can do outside of the parks during your resort stay!

Since you are staying at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, you'll have plenty of recreation options available to you there. If the weather is warm enough, take a dip in one of the pools onsite. The feature pool will be heated, which will be perfect for swimming. You can also stop by Game Point Arcade, which will be located near the main lobby, for a fun afternoon! At night, check out Movies Under the Stars which is held nightly near the Surfboard Bay Pool.

Disney Springs is always a great place to visit outside of the parks! You can shop till you drop at countless places or choose from a variety of dining locations to grab a bite to eat! There is everything from upscale table service restaurants to more casual fare, and even some tasty sweet treats shops! There are also some fun activities here as well. Splitsville Luxury Lanes offers a modern bowling experience and AMC® Disney Springs has a ton of newly featured films being shown. Let's not forget about Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil® & Disney which is a truly magnificent show. I was completely blown away by this performance and highly recommend it! You can use complementary bus transportation to get back and forth from Disney Springs!

Resort hopping is one of my favorite things to do outside of the parks. I love exploring each and every one, including all of the deluxe properties! You can take a bus to the Magic Kingdom, then hop on the resort monorail to stop at each one along this path! There are gift shops, lounges, snacks, and plenty of cool things to check out at each one. If you head back to the Magic Kingdom, you can hop on a boat over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This resort is stunning and has one of the best dining locations around. Geyser Point Bar & Grill has a great menu along with the perfect atmosphere. Reservations are not required here, so you can arrive at any time!

Deborah, I hope this helps guide you during your time outside of the parks! Have an amazing Walt Disney World stay and sailing on Disney Cruise Line!

    See ya real soon!
