Hi Allison!
You can't go wrong with either Caribbean Beach Resort or Port Orleans Resort-Riverside. They are both beautifully themed and have fantastic food courts and themed swimming pools that the boys will love.
Port Orleans Resort - Riverside does has a fabulous Table Service Restaurant we love called Boatright's Dining Hall. The breakfast there is excellent! And there is a terrific swimming pool complex called "Ol' Man Island", surrounded by the Sassagoula River. Tom Sawyer adventurers would love it here! Besides the pool, there is a wooden playground and a fishing hole (catch & release). Another benefit of staying here is the ability to take a nice walk by the river over to the Port Orleans Resort -French Quarter side to explore all of the amenities there.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is very special to us, because my husband and I honeymooned there 22 years ago! Since then, it has undergone some major facelifts, and the pool, which is designed in the theme of an old Spanish Fortress, is one that my boys truly love to visit over and over. You can rent watercraft at the marina on site, and the kids will enjoy the arcade. The food court is very kid friendly.
Both Resorts are now booking the
Disney Story Rooms, if you are looking for something special that the kids will really enjoy. At ages 10 and 13, they are growing up quickly - but, they may still enjoy something as unique as this!
Again, you can't go wrong with either one. Perhaps you can lay out the choices for the boys and let them decide?
No matter what, have a wonderful time!
