When staying at All Star Music, we have been told it is about a 15 min drive to ride the bus to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood studio and Animal Kingdom. Iis it better to drive our own car or ride the bus? Also, will the bus take you to other resorts

Hello Bernie, and welcome back to planDisney!

October is one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World Resort. The weather is usually beautiful, and my family loves the Halloween atmosphere, especially at Magic Kingdom. If your family enjoys Halloween, I highly recommend attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The parade at this event is my absolute favorite!

Travel times between Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and the theme parks typically range from 15 to 20 minutes. If your priority is getting to the parks as quickly as possible, I suggest driving with one big exception: Magic Kingdom. When driving to Magic Kingdom, you’ll park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take the monorail or ferry to reach the park entrance. While the ferry and monorail add a bit of extra magic to the experience, they also add more time to your journey.

Regarding transportation between resorts, there are no direct buses from one resort to another. If you have dining reservations at a different resort you are welcome to drive and park at the resort. If you simply want to visit to experience the different resorts, you can take a bus to any theme park that is open and then jump on the bus for the resort of your choice. Other transportation options are also available at certain parks. For example, from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can take a boat or the Disney Skyliner to Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club. I personally like to plan my itinerary first and then decide which transportation method works best. Sometimes, the scenic route is the most enjoyable!

    Happy planning!
