Hello, I am staying at the All Star Music Resorts ( Suite) in Jan 2009. This is our first trip to Disney! Can you tell me what restaurants outside the resort are the closest to us? I would like to book ahead.

Congratulations on your upcoming FIRST trip to the wonderful world of Disney!

Are you looking to book restaurants within the WDW property? If so, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is fairly close to your resort. Try the breakfast buffet at Boma's. The Rainforest Cafe at the Animal Kingdom park can be accessed without entering the actual park. It also takes Advance Dining Reservations. I already have mine in place for our January trip!

Down the road on Buena Vista Drive, you'll find the Coronado Springs Resort which serves meals at the Maya Grill.

A good strategy to plan meals is to draft your trip itinerary. Plan on which parks you'll be at each day. You can then choose a restaurant convenient to where you are touring whether it is inside the park or at a nearby hotel.

For instance for our January trip, I've done the following:
While at Hollywood Studios, dinner at Mama Melrose's.
    Epcot: lunch at Le Cellier.
Day off from parks: breakfast Cape May Cafe at Beach Club, dinner at T-Rex Cafe (hopefully) at Downtown Disney
    Magic Kingdom: Tony's lunch
    Animal Kingdom: Rainforest Cafe
    Hollywood Studios: Sci Fi
Day off from parks: Whispering Canyon Cafe, late breakfast at Wilderness Lodge
Day off from parks: Artist Point dinner, Wilderness Lodge
Magic Kingdom: Chef Mickey's dinner at Contemporary Hotel

That's my plans so far. Hope this helps!
