Hi Morgan!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I have a son with multiple food allergies and I know how difficult it can be to find yummy food options away from home. Our experience has been that all of the Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort have taken amazing care to make sure my son has tasty food experiences and feels included in all of our dining. I was so excited to see a few weeks ago on the Disney Parks Blog that
allergy-friendly menus will be coming to all of the quick-service and table-service restaurants throughout the resort. These menus will debut at quick-service restaurants in September, just in time for your trip!
When we dine at quick-service locations with my son, we inform the Cast Member of the allergy and he or she can help you find a safe meal. You can also ask to speak to a manager if you have additional questions. I like to take a look at the Disney World section of allergyeats.com to help me make a "must-do" list of restaurants before I get to the park.
For gluten-free diners, I always recommend taking a trip to
Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC in Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney). All of their products are gluten-free, so you are safe to select from their assortment of cupcakes, donuts, muffins and bagels. I visited her shop this past week and was blown away by the variety of options that are safe for you! I even found her gluten-free treats at The Mara, the quick-service restaurant located in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House!
Please let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
