    We are staying at All Star Music...not my first choice, but going ahead with it anyway! Can you tell me anything about the resort? Is it very spread out? Will I have to walk a mile to get to the bus transportation and main entrance?

    Hi Sharon,

    Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!  Disney's All-Star Music Resort hotel is a great choice and I have stayed there many times myself.  In fact my 16 year old daughter is especially fond of this Resort and some of her earliest memories are of herself playing in the Guitar Pool and watching "The Three Caballeros" fountain squirting water.

    Disney's All-Star Music Resort is large with several different musically themed sections.  The Calypso section buildings are closest to the main area of the Resort which include Melody Hall, Intermissions food court and bus transportation.  The Calypso section houses the "preferred" rooms which are slightly more expensive than a standard room, but well worth it in my opinion.  If you are staying in a Family Suite you will automatically be in the Calypso section.  The next closest section to the main area of the Resort are the Jazz Inn buildings.  If you are not able to book a Family Suite or a preferred room, then requesting a room in the Jazz Inn section is a good idea.  However please note that requests are not guaranteed so if having a room close to the main building is important you should book a preferred room or a Family Suite at All-Star Music Resort.
