We are staying at the All Star Movies Resort & want to visit both Magic Kingdom & Hollywood Studios. We also have dinner reservations at AK one night & Wilderness Camp the other. What is the quickest way to get everywhere and how long should be

    Dear Jessie:

I have to admit that Disney bus transportation can be tricky sometimes and knowing how to get from one destination to another in a timely manner can be an art. I like to use the Transportation Wizard at www.ourlaughingplace.com to give me different options when I don't have my car at Disney.

If you have dinner reservations at Animal Kingdom, the bus system will still be operating up to an hour-and-a-half after park closing. So whether you are at Magic Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can simply hop on the bus to Animal Kingdom from the park and when your dinner is over, take the bus from AK to All-Star Movies.

Fort Wilderness is a bit more tricky but doable. If you are in Magic Kingdom, you'll take the small ferry that is directly in front of the Magic Kingdom gate over to Fort Wilderness. After dinner, you'll ride the ferry back to the Magic Kingdom and walk over to your right to find the bus to All-Star Movies in the bus pavilion.

If you are at Disney's Hollywood Studios and need to get to Fort Wilderness, you'll simply go out to the bus lanes outside the gate and find the bus headed to the fort. Once you are dropped off at the bus pavilion (called the Outpost) at Fort Wilderness, you'll transfer to one of the buses headed to the Settlement. You can choose any of them--Yellow, Orange, or Purple lines--but I find the Orange line the fastest. Both the Hoop Dee Doo Revue and Trail's End Buffet are located in the buildings just beyond the bus drop off. After dinner, you'll get back to All-Star Movies the same way as you did upon leaving the Magic Kingdom: take the ferry at the marina back to the Magic Kingdom and go to your right toward the bus pavilion. From there, you'll ride the bus headed to the All-Star Movies to get you to your home resort.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
