We will be staying at All Star Movies resort in March. This is our 4th trip but only our second since Disney introduced Magic Bands. Will our reservations and tickets be linked with the Magic Bands I have from 2 years ago or do I need to get new ones?

    Hi Stephanie,

As a guest at a Walt Disney World resort, you are entitled to complimentary new MagicBands, and the design has changed recently so you may want to accept a new one. However, unless you have deactivated your previous MagicBands in your My Disney Experience account, they should still be functional and can be used instead of or in addition to new MagicBands.

You can check by going to the MagicBands and Cards section of My Disney Experience.

I like having multiple MagicBands in case I misplace one (which, for the record, no one in my family has ever done) or simply feel like wearing a different color one day (which I do often). As long as they are active, all MagicBands linked to you are interchangeable.

The new design, by the way, gives guests more flexibility for wear. It has a flatter face with a removable disc that can be worn in a lanyard or carabiner instead of on your wrist.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stephanie. Your visit is just around the corner now. Enjoy!
