Hello. We are staying at All Star Movies Resort and would like to check out other resorts during our stay. Especially Animal Kingdom Lodge. How do we get there from our resort? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Lynn,

You have come to the right place. I would love to help you with your Disney transportation question. Visiting the different Walt Disney World Resort hotels is a fun way to explore more than just the theme parks. I have done this many times with my family. We also love trying different resort hotel restaurants.

To go from Disney's All-Star Movies Resort to another resort, you will need to make a transfer at either a theme park or Disney Springs. If you are looking to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you will catch a bus at your resort bound for Disney's Animal Kingdom (theme park), then once at the theme park, transfer to a bus bound for Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The only time this might not be ideal is if you wish to visit the lodge later in the evening than the theme park is open. In that case, I would recommend making the transfer at Disney Springs. Just keep in mind that making the transfer at Disney Springs is further away so be sure to allow extra travel time. In general, I tend to allow an hour to go from resort to resort because of the extra waiting and travel time.

    Have a magical time!
