Hi, we are staying at All star movies on March 11 2024, we have dinner reservations at Boma that night can we drive to Animal Kingdom Lodge or do we need to take the Disney transportation services?

Hey there Jeff and welcome to planDisney!

It's so great to help out a fellow Ontarian in need, especially as you make a hasty getaway from the lingering chill up in Canada in search of the sunny skies over Orlando! I hope you're all getting excited about your stay at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort coming up just in time for March Break, and it sounds like you and many fellow Canadians are opting to rent your own vehicles during your trip.

You'll be happy to hear that as long as you're able to show the Parking or Security Cast Members a valid dining reservation at the entry gate to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge property, you'll be able to drive there and park. (Over the past few years they have become increasingly firm about for restricting access to guests only staying at the Resort Hotels or enjoying a Table Service meal, so make sure that you have this handy to show printed out or on your device as you attempt to enter and be prepared as you may be requested to provide a form of valid identification in addition to this.)

Alternatively, given the location of where you're staying you can save on fuel costs or worrying about parking by taking advantage of complimentary Resort Transportation. While there isn't a way that will directly take you there from Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, what I recommend is using the Bus Service first heading to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and then switching over to another bus headed to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge where you'll get off at the Jambo House stop. The bus waiting areas are all labeled and located in the same area, but be aware that this strategy may not be the best if your meal extends beyond Disney's Animal Kingdom Park Hours that evening.

Whether it's your first time dining at Boma - Flavors of Africa or if you're a frequent feaster like my husband and I, we have two additional Princely pieces of advice for you: come hungry and save room for the Zebra Domes! (These highly-coveted dessert morsels have become such an iconic Disney Eat in their own right, and we love them so much they were a part of our reception menu courtesy of the Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings team!)

    Bon Appétit at Boma!
