We will be staying at the All Star Movie Resort May 1-8, will it be faster and more convenient to drive from place to place instead of taking the bus? Also since we are staying on Disney property will we have to pay for parking at the parks?

Hello Jessica!  This is a great question and one that I have tested out myself.  You do not have to pay to enter the parks with your car.  The cast member will notice your permit, which will be provided to you upon check-in, and allow you to enter with no fee.  I really enjoy this extra perk provided for guests at every Disney Resort.  As far as faster and convenient, well, it can depend on time.  If my family knows that we will not be opening or closing a park, we always utilize the Transportation System.  The bus stops tends to be crowded with people trying to utilize the Extra Magic Hours or just wanting to open and close the parks.  So, if you are avoiding the Extra Magic Hours, I say use the bus.  If you do decide to take advantage of the EMH, you may want to think about using your car for the day.  This way you feel like your are constantly moving instead of standing in lines.  If you do have to wait, no fear, the buses run every 15 to 20 minutes.  Really, you cannot go wrong either way.  Some mornings I would wake up and just want to take the car.  Other mornings, I would just stroll down to the buses and not give it a second thought.  I hope this helps with your decision.  You will get a feel for it once you are there.  Happy travels!  I know many new and beautiful memories are waiting to be made.
