    Hi!! We are staying at the All Star Movie Resort this August. I heard that they are refurbishing the rooms at the resort. We are staying at a preferred room, and I’m wondering if we’ll get a refurbished room or if I should call and request it.

     Zaionara, I'm so pleased to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Now more than ever is the time to visit! 

     You're going to love Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. The larger-than-life Characters throughout the resort and the unique theming of each section keep you immersed in the magic of Disney storytelling long after you've left the theme parks. 

     You have heard correctly about the room refurbishments at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort! The upgrades include new flooring, a pocket door separating the sleeping area from the bathroom area, additional storage, and updated theming. The refurbished rooms also feature two queen-sized beds now! One of the queen-sized beds is a murphy-style bed that converts into a table. Isn't that cool? 

     Not all the buildings at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort have received these upgrades yet, but I can tell you that refurbishments are complete in buildings 6 - 10. These buildings are in the Toy Story, Love Bug, and Fantasia sections of the resort. Preferred rooms can be found in the Toy Story, Fantasia, and 101 Dalmations buildings. To better your chances of enjoying a refurbished room during your stay, I would most certainly request a room in the Toy Story or Fantasia sections. Making a room request is easy! Simply call (407) 560-CHAT or (407) 560-2428 at least 72-hours prior to your arrival and a friendly Cast Member will add your request to your reservation. While not all requests can be honored, I know the folks at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort will do their best to make sure you have a magical stay!
