Hey there, Sarah, and welcome back to planDisney. I'm so glad you POP-ped by with your question!
Just a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of spending the day at Disney's Pop Century Resort with my pal
Kurt. We had so much fun traveling through the decades and exploring all the larger-than-life decor we found around the resort! I'm sure you're counting the days until you're doing the same, so let's jump into your question.
Sarah, I absolutely love every single section of
Disney's Pop Century Resort. All of the "decades" have their own unique charms, and if you asked me to choose a favorite, I'd be hard-pressed to give you an answer! But, of course, I also know how important it is to choose the right room type for your stay. So I did a little digging and found that there are standard rooms in every building at Pop Century,
except for Buildings 4 and 5, which make up the 60s section of the resort. The other buildings are generally a mix of standard and preferred, with some buildings offering more standard rooms than others. For reference, you can find the current resort map
right here.
Now, it's important to note that which building you'll be placed in can depend on whether you booked a Standard View room or a Standard Pool View room, and on whether you need a room with one king bed or a room with two queens. If you have your heart set on a particular room location, I recommend noting your request during the
online check-in process or by calling the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to speak with a Disney Cast Member.
One more thing before you go, Sarah. It looks like you'll be arriving just in time for the
2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, which kicks off this year on August 27th! Since you'll have easy access to the
Disney Skyliner during your stay at Pop Century, be sure to pop over to EPCOT to check out all the delicious food on offer! In case you missed it, the Food & Wine Festival also features the
Eat to the Beat Concert Series, which allows park guests to enjoy live performances by popular artists (included in the price of park admission). The schedules and artists haven't been announced yet, but keep an eye on the link above for updates while you wait for your trip!
I hope this information is helpful, Sarah, and that your upcoming vacation is totally groovy! If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney.
Catch you later,
Allison
