We are staying in a standard room at Caribbean beach. Which building is the best to stay in? We want to be close to bus stop, food & pool.

Hi there, Steven! It's great to see you again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Grab your sunglasses while we visit the islands at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort!

From the cool colors, to the sandy beaches, to the fabulous pool, I'm a huge fan of the Caribbean Beach Resort. The resort's rooms are grouped into buildings featuring names that remind you of a warm tropical vacation: Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Martinique, Barbados, Aruba and Jamaica. The center of all the action is at Old Port Royale, which is home to Shutters Restaurant, the Old Port Royale Food Court and the Fuentes del Morro pool.

Martinique and Trinidad North are the closest villages to Old Port Royale, but these rooms are in the Preferred category. For a Standard room, you might consider requesting either Jamaica or Aruba. These villages are just across the bridge from Old Port Royale, so it's just a few minutes' walk to the activities at the center of the resort. Each village also has its own beach, small pool and bus stop, so you can take a swim or sink your toes in the sand after a long day at the park.

I hope this helps you have tons of fun in the sun during your stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Steven. Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
