Welcome to planDisney, Greta! Thanks for sharing your question with us.
Your Walt Disney World visit is right around the corner. Woo hoo! I’m sure you’re super excited to enjoy the Vacation Kingdom of the World in all its holly jolly splendor. There is so much to see and do, and luckily, the
Disney Parks Blog has you covered with an overview of all the holiday happenings at Walt Disney World.
Complimentary buses can take you all over Walt Disney World, but there isn’t usually direct bus transportation between resort hotels. There are still ways to resort hop using Walt Disney World transportation; it might just take a couple of stops or transfers to get where you want to go.
The My Disney Experience app can provide step-by-step directions and travel time estimates, so make sure you have it downloaded to your mobile device. At the time I’m writing this, the app is suggesting that you take the bus from All-Star Sports to Hollywood Studios and then board the Disney Skyliner to Caribbean Beach Resort. Then you can transfer to the EPCOT Skyliner line, which has a stop at Riviera Resort.
Travel times will vary based on when you’re traveling. This route is currently an estimated 48 minutes compared to a 70-minute bus-only option (All-Star Sports to Animal Kingdom to Riviera Resort). Those times would likely increase if it were closer to theme park opening or closing, so be sure to check your app closer to your travel time. And it's always worth mentioning that a private
Minnie Van through Lyft is likely the fastest and most convenient option most days.
Greta, I hope this information helps you navigate your Walt Disney World journey. I’m sure you’ll have an outstanding visit. Don’t hesitate to come right back if you have more questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Magical travels!
Matt
