staying at SOG for a few days but would like to stay off disney before that. Do you know of any that will be close and clean. Hotel or house condo anything that disney owns? thanks

There are so many great places to stay that are near Walt Disney World.  To stay at a Disney owned property, you would have to stay on-site.  Your most reasonable priced option would be a Value Resort.  My favorite resort in this category is Pop Century.  It is fun with several pools, a huge food court, and fun resort decor.  You might even find a Special Offer for some great room rates.

Another option that is very close would be the Holiday Inn in the Downtown Disney Resort area.  This hotel did a complete renovation just a few years ago so it will be very clean.  There may be a few more expenses associated with staying here such as parking or resort fees, so check with them before booking so you do not have any surprises with cost.

I think your best option would be a Disney Value Resort.  You will be just a quick hop over to Shades of Green once your "real" vacation starts.  This sounds like such a fun time, enjoy the magic!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
